Research on Pretreatment of the Tire Mark Image

Article Preview

Abstract:

utomobile tire is an important component of the vehicle. Its quality is directly related to the operation of vehicle performance and safety performance. Tire marks printed correctly can ensure the tire used properly. Compared with current recognized by artificial, Recognized automatically by computer can significantly improve the detection efficiency of tire mark. This paper discussed the research on pretreatment of the tire mark image. The direction of the scan of the text area is along the radius of the circle and circumference of tire. This method also conducted gamma correction, histogram equalization, binary and other pretreatments about the collected tire images. It can effectively remove the ground noise, optimize the text area, and lay a solid foundation for further recognition processing.
