Investigation of Tube Drawing Process by Finite Element Simulation

Article Preview

Abstract:

Tube drawing is a convenient route to manufacture near net tubular product with high accuracy. In this paper, the tube drawing process was investigated through finite element method. The metal flow rule of tube drawing and influence of mold conical angle on the drawing force and equivalent strain during tube drawing process were studied. The reasonable mold conical angle was obtained from the simulated results.
