Abstract: Take February 24, 2003 the Xinjiang Bachu-Jiashi area liquefication investigation as a foundation, using the SPT count as an indicator of liquefaction decision, liquefied decision methods of sites are considered at domestic and abroad, in which Chinese code liquefied prediction method and Seed-Idriss method are included. The result indicated that our country code and the Seed-Idriss method in liquefied the location prediction success ratios are only 43% and 48%, is in favor of the danger obviously. The reason possibly is the formation of SPT data mainly from the local area, but the Bachu-Jiashi area soil is quite different, therefore is worth the deep research.

Abstract: In this paper, the general finite element analysis program ANSYS is adopted to analyze the 3D finite element model of adjacent highrise and multistoried buildings-pile-soil dynamic interaction system. In the model, the soil parameters are based on the characteristics of Shanghai soft soil, and the adjacent upper structures are two frame structures, which had 12 stories and 5 stories respectively. Through comparing the simulation results of this particular dynamic cross interaction system with those of single structure and two identical structures, some useful conclusions were obtained.

Abstract: Based on the experiment of four models of reduced scale high-rise reinforced concrete wall under low-reversed cyclic loading, seismic behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall with diagonal web reinforcement under different ratio of axial compression is studied, in comparison to ordinary shear wall. The experiment result shows that diagonal bars affect the distribution of cracks and help to resist shear slip at the bottom of the wall. Seismic behavior of high-rise shear wall, which horizontal bars are replaced with the same amount diagonal bars in part can be obviously improved when the ratio of axial compression is high, but when the ratio of axial compression is low, the effect is not obvious.

Abstract: Architectural ecological design is not merely a simple method of architectural design, but a technique and measure of protecting the ecological environment, developing ecological economy and culture, emphasizing sustainable development. Based on the measures of ecological design of function, organization, layout, utilization of natural light, and implementation of natural ventilation, reducing of noise of single building, the application and implementation of ecological design for single building are analyzed, which provides a reference for other projects.

Abstract: An analytical method to obtain the seismic fragility curve of reinforced concrete frames with service life was proposed in this paper. Considering the variation of nonlinear mechanical characteristics of un-carbonated concrete with service life, the seismic fragility curve of frames was developed based on the interstorey drift corner in the weak storey of frame structures. According to the damage state definition of frames, each seismic fragility curve reflects the probability tendency of the defined damage state happening in frames with service life. It is helpful for the seismic performance analysis of reinforced concrete frames to use the proposed method.

Abstract: A series solution for dynamic stress concentration of underground lined cavities in different distance under incident plane SV waves is given by wave function expansion method. The infinite series is cut and calculated under the required precision. The lining includes rigid lining, unlined cavities, flexible lining. The numerical results show that the distance between cavities has an important impact on the dynamic stress concentration factor and the interaction between two cavities greatly amplifies the dynamic stress concentration. With the distance increases the dynamic stress concentration factor turn smaller gradually and tend to the distribution case of one cavity; The rigidity of lining also has great effect on the dynamic stress concentration which is highest for the rigid lining, second for unlined cavities and is lowest for the flexible lining.

Abstract: The seismic reliability analysis of complex structure is carried out based on the response surface method and finite element method. Firstly, the appropriate design points are selected based on the mean values and standard deviations of the basic random variables. Secondly, the finite element method is employed to obtain the values of the limit state function of the complex structure. Thirdly, with selected design points and the obtained values of the limit state function of the complex structure, a polynomial function is constructed to approximate the original implicit limit state function. Then, with the established explicit polynomial limit state function and available methods of structural reliability analysis, the seismic reliability of the complex structure is estimated. Numerical analyses show that the established method is simple to use for the evaluation of the reliability analysis of complex structure.

Abstract: Staircases in Reinforced Concrete (RC) frame structures suffered severe damages in recent earthquakes although they are regarded as critically important passages during emergencies. Staircases act as the first line of defense in earthquakes, and therefore they first yield and fail. Then they lose the action of safe passages so that the anticipated seismic performance objectives cannot be satisfied. To make sure that staircases work as safe passages in strong earthquakes, the current Chinese code for seismic design of buildings claims special requirements on the design of staircases. At first, the influence of staircases on the structural behavior of a typical RC frame structure is studied by the comparison of internal force in the structural members considering and neglecting the effect of staircases under frequent earthquakes. Besides, the effect of staircases on the yielding and failing mechanism of the frame structure is investigated through static elasto-plastic analyses. From this study the reason of the damages suffered by cast-in-site staircases in RC frame structures under earthquakes can be understood.

Abstract: Architecture is the concrete columns with steel pipe flat floor slab, the 100mm × 100mm of steel pipe concrete column is in the center of the floor. The variation of moment and horizontal anti-force under horizontal displace of steel concrete columns are researched, and the steel columns working are analyzed, from that we can know steel concrete column in the slab-column structure has a good deformability under earthquake.

Abstract: Based on the propagation characteristics of stress wave in crack rock, the propagation laws of seismic wave in fault formation were studied, and the field tests were carried out on Guanjiao tunnel of Qinghai-Tibet railway. The monitoring data of blasting vibration indicate that cracks prevent the propagation of seismic wave and the peak velocities of seismic wave attenuate rapidly in fault formation. The findings provide a reference on blasting vibration damage control in rock tunnel.
