Abstract: Combined with the modern appropriate technology to fix the architectural destruction brought with the earth environment is one of the development directions of green architecture. According to the technological and social research achievements and the relational proposal of technology, nature and society, the research not only put forward suggestions on theory and practice of green architecture and technology, but also rethink the applicability of current technological and social concept by the case of American Village homes green community, in order to open up the communication cooperation space and explore the feasibility for remolding the modern society.

Abstract: A more suitable failure criterion for masonry is built based on the theory of orthogonal anisotropic strength. Several kinds of failure criteria expressions are analyzed and compared and it is shown that the failure envelope based on Hoffman strength theory is in good agreement with the experimental results.

Abstract: According to the microscopic structure and mechanical, a suitable expression failure mechanism of masonry has been pointed out and validated by code and test data of at home and abroad and, furthermore, the usefulness of it in masonry under shear and press state is proved.
