Evaluation of Forest Fire Indirect Loss
Abstract:
Forest fire indirect loss means that a type of loss that does not results from direct damage of a covered cause of loss but is, instead, a consequence of the direct damage loss by forest fire. It is much more difficult to quantify and therefore may go unnoticed by local government. However, forest fire indirect loss is far more costly than direct loss. When reviewing forest fire loss, measure the forest fire indirect loss, as well as the forest fire direct loss, to make sure we are capturing the total impact of forest fire losses. So far, there is no precise classification and calculation for forest fire indirect loss. This paper concentrated on assessing the losses that impacted of forest fire. The results would be a guide for policymakers for developing an appropriate preventive action to reduce the risk and potential indirect loss before the fire occurs.
