Abstract:

As one of the fastest growing automotive manufacturers in China, Geely Group has acquired the Swedish brand Volvo from Ford Motors, which can be regarded as another attempt made by Chinese auto enterprises to realize internationalization. This article attempts to analyze the acquisition by means of the SWOT model and put forward some corresponding countermeasures.
