Preparation and Research of Short Carbon Fibers Network Structure Antistatic Composites

Abstract:

A kind of antistatic composites were successfully prepared in large scale by the spraying construction technology, based on fluorocarbon coating, containing short carbon fibers (SCFs) conductive filler. The influences of resin viscosity, pigments and fillers on the dispersion of SCFs in fluorocarbon coating were studied. The degree of SCFs dispersion was charactered by dispersion coefficient. The results show that the higher viscosity redounds to the dispersion of SCFs in fluorocarbon matrix, and the suitable spraying viscosity should be controlled at 60s~100s (T-4 Viscosity cup); the discontinuous distribution of pigments and fillers plays a positive role to the dispersion of SCFs and hinders the reaggregation of SCFs.
