Transmission Design of the Ultrasonic Flow Measurement Based on the Correlation Method
Abstract:
In design of ultrasonic flow measurement, the reproducibility of constant amplitude periodic signal will lead to a not unique time difference based on the correlation method. The aim of this paper is to design a set of amplitude modulation transmitting signal to solve the multiple values calculation of the time difference. The frequency characteristics of ultrasonic probe and the amplitude frequency characteristic of different duty cycle square wave are researched and tested. We cleverly combine the logic device FPGA with the property of the ultrasonic probe to achieve the amplitude modulation waveform in the circuit design. The experimental results show that FET switch controlled by the logic device FPGA can transmit amplitude modulation signal. The measured error of time difference after correlation is not more than 1.62s.
