Abstract:

Tongxiang sweater cluster is considered as a dichotomy driven fashion value chain, for it is driven by, not only the local own brand, but also the international brand buyer. Every link of Tongxiang sweater cluster value chain is analyzed in this paper. Buyer only needs monitoring the supplier which produces some standardization of sweater, because sweater is a kind of standardization of product. The governance of global value chain consists of markets, relational value chains, captive value chains, hierarchy, and the last, modular value chains, to which Tongxiang sweater cluster belongs.
