Abstract: The presence of congruent features may suggest to the brain that stimuli in different modalities are due to a common cause. Previous work has presented conflicting results regarding the impact of congruence on simultaneity judgments, widely thought to be related to judgments of common cause. Here, a novel experimental paradigm using a single changing multi-sensory object is described, with the goal of contrasting results obtained using a single multi-sensory target with those obtained from previous work using arrays of moving dots and staggered asynchronous pairs of targets. Some preliminary results from a pilot validating the experimental procedure are discussed.

Abstract: In order to achieve high-precision synchronous motion control of dual-robot in a robotic aircraft flexible tooling system, a cross-coupling method based on fuzzy sliding mode control (FSMC) is proposed in this paper. First, the dynamic model of the dual-robot drive system is established. Then, a cross-coupling scheme with FSMC is developed, in which fuzzy logic control is used to generate the hitting control signal. The stability of the system is guaranteed in the sense of the Lyapunov stability theorem. Finally, simulation results compared with the conventional PID control are given to indicate that the control performance of the dual-robot system is satisfactory and the proposed scheme can achieve preferable synchronous performance and it is robust with regard to uncertainties and disturbances.

Abstract: As an energy generating equipment, the engine-generator set supplies power to the electric transmission. Therefore, its control is one of the key technologies of electric vehicles. Based on the discussion about the demands to the engine-generator set in tracked vehicles, the detailed function of engine-generator and the contro1 strategy are determined. The hardware and software of the control system are also developed and tested in a prototype vehicle. The experiment results show that the control system has good reliability and can satisfy the power requirements of vehicles under all operating conditions.

Abstract: Policy-based management technology which is used for managing enterprise-wide networks and distributed systems is getting more and more attention. Policy conflict detection and solution is a difficulty in this field. In this paper, we present a novel method of policy conflict detection based on SWRL rules. First, we construct a policy ontology model, and represent the policies with Web Ontology Language (OWL). Then the SWRL rules used to detect conflict is presented. Finally, an example is shown to illustrate how to use our method to detection the conflicts in the managed system, the feasibility and the validity of our proposed method are proved out.

Abstract: For power plant boiler combustion control system has large inertia, nonlinear and other complex characteristics, a control algorithm of PID optimized by means of adaptive immune genetic algorithm is presented. A variety of improved schemes of GA were designed, include: initial population generating scheme, fitness function design scheme, immunization strategy, adaptive crossover probability and adaptive mutation probability design scheme. By taking the rise time, error integral and overshoot of system response as the performance index, and using genetic algorithm for real-coded of PID parameters, then a group of optimal values were obtained. Simulation results show that the method has a good dynamic performance, superior to the conventional PID controller.

Abstract: By analyzing the nonlinear characteristic of phase difference of receiving VLF signal in Xinxiang. Research on it's chaotic characteristic and probability of predicting it take advantage of the chaotic theory. The numerical results show that the phase difference of propagation has chaotic characteristic on the position that has specified latitude and longitude. Predicting the phase difference by using the method that based on the lyapunov exponent. The standard deviation and variance of Prediction results are 1.6240 cec and 2.6375 cec, respectively.

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of the network delay, this paper presents a kind of application of generalized predictive control algorithm in networked control systems. The algorithm applys future control signal predicted by MPC (model predictive control) to compensating for the delay or interruption in forward channel, and the delay in feedback channel with a predictor at the same time. The paper describes the control characteristic and discusses the stability of network control system, and verificates the algorithm's feasible and effective characteristics in networked control systems through the simulation.

Abstract: Automation of power generation and its control process is inevitable trend and requirement. In construction of smart grid, clean energy is a significant indicator of smart grid, and energy conservation and emission reduction is a major research task. Automatic control technology in power generation especially in energy conservation and emission reduction is briefly introduced in the paper. In power plant, there are some problems to solve in desulphurization and water feeding, and the application of automatic control technology could solve or improve the problems in some degree.

Abstract: In this paper, taking the quantitative casting system for lead anode plate as the object of study, develop a control system based on the fieldbus and fuzzy control. Introduce the process and control principle of the lead anode plate casting, and establish the quantitative pouring control system from two aspects as the designs of hardware and software equipment. The system adopts the PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus technology and uses SIMATIC PLC as the master station to structure the casting control system. It describes the realization and simulation of the fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm in quantitative casting system. The simulation results show: Fuzzy - PI control scheme has a better control effectiveness than the traditional PID control system, for a smaller control response curve overshoot and error, a shorter response time and restraining the outside interference to the system and the instability of casting flow.

Abstract: A key issue of the solar system is how to determine real-time position of the sun. This paper describes a new solar lighting system. The system uses a new GPS-based solar tracking control module. A Global Positioning System (GPS) is used to acquire latitude, longitude and the current time of the observation point. Single Chip Microcomputer Atmega168 is used to calculate the elevation angle and azimuth of the sun at this time, and to control the stepper motor rotating pan-tilt.. Using the angular position detector as a calibration device, the control system achieves accurate tracking of the sun, and is calibrated to achieve 0.5°accuracy.
