Abstract:

In order to deal with climate warming and the global energy crisis, the low carbon industry is rising as a new form of business. It’s the inevitable trend of industry transformation towards a low carbon economy, and it’s at the core of energy saving and emissions reduction in the short term. Using Shandong Province as the object of study, this article analyzes the present situation and the difficulties in developing a low carbon industry. Based upon these findings, it proposes four strategies with which technical innovation can be used to push the development of the Shandong Province towards a low carbon economy. It also supplies numerous suggestions for said development, such as “utilizing the essence of innovation to improve the environment of industry”, “relying on organizational innovation and promoting the competitive vigor of said innovation”, “carrying out technical cooperation and assisting the innovation by joint efforts”, and “influencing technology transformation through a creative combination of innovation and the current market”.
