Research on Technology of Reducing Iron and Steel Consumption in Whole Process of Steelmaking

Article Preview

Abstract:

Connected features of iron and steel consumption in whole process of steelmaking in PanGang, by reducing the iron loss of desulfurization and vanadium extracting, reducing content of TFe of terminal slag in converter steelmaking, and reducing iron and steel consumption of continuous casting, the iron loss of desulfurization and vanadium extracting is reduced to 5.21% from 5.39%, and the content of TFe of terminal slag is reduced to 19.47% from 21%. Iron and steel consumption in whole process reaches to 1145.45 kg/t steel which is reduced effectively.
