Finite Element Stress Analysis of a 600 MW Supercritical Boiler Superheater Outlet Header

Abstract:

In this paper, the stress analysis of the superheater outlet header of a 600 MW supercritical boiler in peak load operation was investigated by carrying out a three-dimensional finite element(FE) analysis. The ANSYS software was adopted to analyze the distribution of the stress. The most dangerous point was given. And the laws of the thermal stress, the mechanical stress and the total stress at the point change with time were established.
