More public geographical resource data appears in recent years, and its accuracy is improved with a good application value. So this paper aims to research on the application of public geographic data in power engineering survey and design, and tries to find a useful method which can develop the power engineering survey and design in a timely, convenient and low-cost way, as well as highlights the application value with these public data.
