Fire Statistic and Prevention Measures for Cables in Power Plant

Abstract:

Statistics of cable fire in power plant from 1960’s to 1990’s was carried out at present. Main causes of the fire were analyzed. The external cause accounts for the majority of cable fire. The existed problem in cable fire prevention was summarized; systematic measures from design, construction and operation should be taken into account to reduce the risk of cable fire in power plant.
