Dyeing and Functional Finishing of Silk, Nylon 6 and Polyester Fabrics with Baicalin

Abstract:

Natural dye baicalin was applied to dye silk, nylon 6 and polyester fabrics. The dosages of baicalin on K/S value and UV protection properties of silk, nylon 6 and polyester fabrics were analyzed. The washing number on K/S value and UV protection properties of dyed fabrics also investigated. It was found that, the K/S value and UV protection properties of dyed fabrics increased with the increasing of dosage of baicalin. The K/S value and UV protection properties of dyed fabrics decreased with the increasing of washing number, but after 50 times of washing the dyeings also have good UV protection properties.
