Passive Infra Reflectors and its Simulation in Radiance Software

Article Preview

Abstract:

Retroreflection of infrared radiation can be used to suppress the losses of thermal radiation. This can mitigate uncomfortable feeling of cold in unheated environments as well as suppress loss of heat in technological processes where standard insulations can be hardly applied. Shortly it handles about a process opposite to heat accumulation, needed in case of PCM panels inside building. The paper presents a concept of evaluation of retroreflection with the help of computer simulations in RADIANCE.
