Abstract:

As a very wide range of creation and perception mode, industrial design is reflecting on the various aspects of our “basic necessities”. But because of the geographical and ethnic differences, the single industrial products could not meet the demand of different countries and crowd with different cultural background. Therefore, industrial design based on the localization of regional folk art will become an important strategy to storming the global market. Shaanxi folk art has its own unique design language, accurate and clear design theme, which contains the wisdom of folk artists and their all emotions. Trying to understand Shaanxi Folk Art, it includes three parts: “Form”, “Implication” and “Spirit”, with the elements of Shaanxi folk art, such as creation thought, cultural content, and form constitute and color accumulation; it would nurture the cultural vitality of the localization design.
