Abstract:

Six compounds were isolated from Gentiana farrerii, which was used as traditonal herb medicine in the treatment of some diseases. Their structures were identified as: linoleic acid(1), dibutyl-phthalate(2), p-hydroxy benzaldehyde (3), hydroxyacetophenone (4), isoscoparin (5), 5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavone-6--D-glucopyranoside(6). All compounds were isolated from Gentiana farrerii for the first time. The cytotoxic activity on the growth of HepG-2 cells of all compounds were investigated in MTT assay, the results showed that compound 2, 5, 6 have weak cytotoxic activity, IC50 is 41.26, 96.74, 99.33 (μg/ml), respectively.
