Abstract:

This paper focuses on the thermal environment in an old urban block called Water Street in Nanning. Based on the field investigation, measurement data of ten selected points and related research data, we analyzed the thermal environment especially in negative spaces. The purpose of this study is to provide a theory basis for understanding characteristics of negative spaces, regenerating their vitality and improving spatial comfort.
