Abstract: Asphalt concrete is a viscoelastic multiphase porous material consisting of asphalt, aggregates and mineral filler. The composite has good flexibility, durability and impervious properties, usually as an impervious body of hydraulic structures. Technology characteristics of the asphalt concrete impervious panel is summarized and the key of the structure design is reviewed according to the specification. Combining with engineering practice, research results provide a useful reference for the technology development and application of asphalt concrete impervious panel.

Abstract: In order to make the temperature controlling measure of massive concrete mixing with slag powder and fly ash effectively. Taking Guangzhou East Bridge sand cap-based temperature control project for example, the pile caps transient temperature field calculation model is established by finite element method. The different water cooling time and hydration rate are analyzed. The results show that the cooling time extending has less effect on central maximum temperature of double-doped concrete in early stage, but the times arriving corresponding stable temperature is earlier. The hydration rate has more effect on maximum temperature.

Abstract: The hybrid fiber reinforced concrete containers for keeping nuclear waste (NWSC) were made by the concrete which mixed polypropylene fibers (0.9kg/m3) and 20mm basalt fiber (2.5kg/m3). The carbonation depth model was established by analyzing carbonation depth of ordinary concrete and hybrid fiber reinforced concrete that through the accelerated carbonization testing. And then two kinds of different concrete NWSC carbonation life were predict according to the similarity theory. The results show that the carbonation life of hybrid fiber reinforced concrete NWSC is 67% higher than ordinary concrete ones, The addition of fiber can improve the resistance ability of concrete. The hybrid fiber reinforced concrete storage container can meet the requirements of the service life-300a when the thickness of the protective layer is more than 32mm.

Abstract: As an energy efficient means of construction, structural insulated panels (SIP) are now widely used in the world. In this paper, Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) sheets were used as strengthening materials in the SIPs to develop the mechanical performance of it. Eighteen specimens were constructed. Six of them were normal SIPs used as control specimens while twelve specimens were SIPs with different GFRP sheets pasted between face boards and foam cores. Compressive and flexural test programs were conducted to provide a basic understanding of the mechanical performance of this new kind of SIP panel system. The results showed that, the new kind of SIP materials behaved better load bearing capacity and better ductility.

Abstract: This paper presents a laboratory test to characterize the pavement performance of asphalt mixture containing polyolefin/ethylene copolymer modifier. The modifier is directly added into mixture like aggregates and is not necessary to modify the asphalt binder firstly, which is different with conventional modifier and is so-called dry process. Based on the aggregate grade of AC-13 mixture, the mechanical properties of polyolefin/ethylene copolymer modified hot mixtures asphalt (dry process) were studied by experimental tests, which include the high-temperature stability and water stability. The test results indicate that compared to the SBS asphalt mixture the dynamic stability and TSR improved 66% and 2.3% respectively, when the addition of RK300 is 0.3%.

Abstract: Concrete is a composite construction material composed primarily of aggregate, cement, and water. While different formulations provided varied properties. Some times engineering structure need to expand its span length, the commonly thinking is how to decrease the dead load by no harming the structure capacity. The lightweight aggregate concrete focus on the light weight of the aggregate and it can be obtained by using nature stone or artificial stones. The application can decrease the weight by lowering the structure body with 20%-30% total weight. This article proposed an accuracy test machinery system for the lightweight aggregate concrete to determine the water absorption behavior while in pumping pressure.

Abstract: In this paper, the infrared spectrum of regenerated fibers have been tested and analyzed, such as Lyocell fiber, Modal fiber, regenerated cellulose fiber and Bamboo pulp fiber. Test results shown that: Lyocell fiber, Modal fiber, Bamboo pulp fiber are similar to viscose fiber in their infrared spectrogram, but the transmittance of characteristic absorption peaks of them are different.

Abstract: This paper presented a concentric loading test of 10 high-strength concrete columns confined by normal-and high-strength lateral ties. It was confirmed that high-strength transverse reinforcement did not yield at peak strength of confined concrete. On the basis of test date, new equation was proposed to compute the stress in the transverse reinforcement at peak and ultimate strength of confined concrete, which shows good accordance with experimental results. These equations are suitable in the analysis of lateral ties confined concrete.

Abstract: Hydraulic method for earthwork excavation construction technology has a strong advantage in small environmental pollution, low cost, simple process, energy saving. It follows the idea of a harmonious society and the sustainable development, in line with the energy saving and emission reduction policy that the state promoted and also saving cost. This paper put emphasis on the theory of hydraulic method for earth excavation construction technology, construction process and key operation points, and the problems frequently encountered in construction and countermeasures. Combining with the project in Xinxiang new plain area in Henan province, which is about taking advantage of Yellow River to develop agriculture, the paper illustrates the economic benefit and social benefit of this construction technology.
