Building the Model of Near-Level Coal Deposit

Article Preview

Abstract:

Based on the theory of regular block model constructing of open pit mine, a regular column model was used for a near-level coal deposit to build model. Taking column as unit, inverse distance method was used to valuate. The relevant attributes of each coal deposit in each column was recorded, containing elevation, thickness, coal quality parameters of each coal seam. Based on the ground surface contour, surface level of column model was estimated. According to the problem meeting in the practical application, virtual drill holes, angle exclusive and quadrant method were used to deal with faults, seam boundary and cluster-effect. The application showed that using regular column model could describe the location and thickness variation of seam well and solved the problem which was difficult to calculate the volume of coal and rock accurately when 3D regular block model had coal combined with rock modules.
