Structure Design and Parameter Sensitivity Analysis for MR Damper

Article Preview

Abstract:

Vehicle active suspension semi-active suspension is usually used to reduce un-wanted vibration engrey from various road conditions and vehicle velocity. MR damper as a type of semi-active suspension can really rosove the problem. A new type MR damper is designed according to the original damper force characteristics of a military vehicle. The structure parameters of the damper have channel clearances, channel length, piston diameter and so on. Analysis on the MR damper force amplitude of variation from different current value (0~1A) and different damper velocity (0.052m/s~0.52m/s) is done in order to find the sensitive parameter influence to MR damper force. Thus it can provide the reference to design the damper structure. The result verifies the piston diameter is stronger to influence the damper force than channel clearances and channel length.
