Abstract: Since the features are not prominent and the algorithm is complex during whole reconstruction of section data, a step-by-step optimization reconstruction method is proposed. The order of reconstruction is optimized: line features are reconstructed firstly; Then arc features are reconstructed (constraints are satisfied between the arc and known lines); finally freeform features are reconstructed (constraints are satisfied between the B-spline and known lines/arcs). In this way, the reconstruction accuracy of the line/arc features is ensured in the first. Since freeform features have more freedom, it is convenient to be adjusted to meet the more constraints. Linear boundary constraints are constructed and the algorithm becomes optimization problem of the quadratic objective function under the linear constraints. The examples show that the reconstruction accuracy is improved greatly under satisfying constraints; the expected goal is achieved in real application.

Abstract: Flow field inside an ultrasonic water meter of time-difference-type are numerically simulated at several flow rates. Linear mean velocity (LMV) averaged along the line between the transmitting transducer and the receiving one, and the surface mean velocity (SMV) averaged in the cross section of the reducing-type flow passage, and the flow correction coefficient are calculated with the flow field data obtained by the simulation. Its found that the values of flow correction coefficient for the reducing-type meter channel flow are quite different from that for a fully developed pipe flow, and are related to the flow rate or Reynolds number.

Abstract: This paper describes an analysis process of the sinking stiffness that is a simplified car door model using finite element method. First, it has set the car doors assembly model in ANSYS with the APDL command flow. Then phenomena and data are obtained from the experiment. At last, by optimization is got from the analysis of this data. So it can provide methods and references of the optimization of a car door structure.

Abstract: A method is proposed to predict the handling and roll properties of electric drive mining trucks and evaluate their safety status. Trucksim is used to simulate the truck dynamics and Simulink is used to model the electric drive system, the truck model takes a double-lane change manoeuvre according to ISO 3888-1. A 190t mining truck is demonstrated and the understeer gradient and roll angle results respect its safety status well. Using this method, mining truck designers could make the handling and roll prediction before manufacture and modify their design.

Abstract: The paper presents a simulation platform for the development of vehicle adaptive cruise control (ACC) systems. The simulation platform has the ability to simulate traffic driving conditions and critical driving conditions and covers software-in-the loop and hardware-in-the-loop test capabilities. First, the system architecture of the simulation platform is introduced. All components of the platform are defined. Those components build the basis for the entire simulation. Special emphasis is given to the interaction between the simulated vehicle and its traffic environment. Second, this paper provides a radar sensor model framework and a vision sensor model framework to establish virtual sensor models to enable high-fidelity simulation on environmental sensing and perception for virtual development, testing and validation of ACC system. Finally, this paper gives an example of ACC under traffic conditions to verify the simulation platform.

Abstract: In order to solve irregular product surface quality is difficult to test problems, this paper combined reverse engineering with finite element analysis related technologies, good results have been achieved. Selected the helmet as the research object, introduced the reverse engineering and finite element analysis of the basic methods and ideas. First through the 3D laser scanner for safety helmet surface point cloud data, the data conducted the pretreatment in the Imageware software, and then in UG finished surface reconstruction and materialization process, finally guided the reverse forming helmet entity into Ansys Workbench software to carry on the finite element analysis, through the generation of stress and deformation analysis nephogram to test the sample quality.

Abstract: Powerful function in three-dimensional design, SolidWorks now has found a wide range of applications in industrial design. The parametric design system of precision forging gear die in this paper is developed with VB language based on SolidWorks environment. It is described in detail that the establishment of important components of gear die in the three-dimensional model, the relation between parameters of the interface and model, and parameters drive mechanism. Input parameters in windows of VB interface, are automatically calculated the precise parameters of the gear part and geometric dimensions of the important components of the gear die. According to the input arameters, the three-dimensional model of the gear die’s assembly drawings is generated on SolidWorks environment. The parametric design system is able to shorten the time for constructing the 3D model of the precision forging gear die and improve the quality of the die design.

Abstract: Loading subsystem is an important module of the FEM software: its performance can directly affect the correctness of the calculation results of the FEM system, as well as the speed of system operation. In this paper, we apply MFC technology, the VS2010 platform and use the ACCESS database as data storage tools to develop the loading subsystem. By means of defining data class and data management class, the function of loading subsystem was achieved. Finally, the cases illustrate that the subsystem can draw beautiful boundaries and keep the value accuracy. This article provides the design and implementation for a similar system reference.

Abstract: A static-stability calculation method for ships which use the second-development of Solid Edge is presented in this paper. The second-development of Solid Edge applied Visual Basic to divide the waterplane and measure the parameters concerned static-stability calculation such as the volume and center of the underwater model. Furturemore, it makes the statics-stability calculation be convenient that the paragraph of static-stability is calculated on the parameters and the dismiss angle is returned. According to the comparison of the experiments and the theory, including different forms of superstructure models, it can be proved that this method is reliable and effective in the static-stability calculation for ships.
