Abstract: A new hybrid FRP wrapped anchor is developed to solve the poor ductility of FRP anchor. The designability of functionally graded material (FGM) makes it possible to connect the high ductility metal to FRP material. Numerical and analytical methods are compared in solving plane stress FGM cantilever beam problem. The results show the analytical method's simplification in constraint makes it inaccurate in solving displacements. Consequently, the numerical method is employed to analyze the hybrid FRP wrapped anchor in the ideal condition. The results indicate the hybrid FRP wrapped anchor solved the current problem theoretically.

Abstract: Through pseudo static test on three pieces of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) transfer beam supported frame with three different reinforcement form, reinforcement ratio and the number of root reinforcement ,which are subjected to the vertical load and horizontal low cycle reciprocating load, the specimen fracture development law, yield mechanism, failure pattern, and bearing capacity, ductility, hysteresis characteristics and seismic performance are analyzed. The test results show that: yield mechanism and failure pattern of transfer beam supported frame equipped with fiber reinforced plastics reinforced bars are reasonable. The bearing capacity and deformation performance of transfer beam supported frame with top and bottom longitudinal bar replaced by FRP bars and symmetrical reinforced box are better than that of single upper replacement for FRP and lower replacement for FRP. The ductility performance of transfer beam supported frame equipped with fiber reinforced plastics bars is good, hysteresis curve is full, and have good seismic performance.

Abstract: This paper proposed experimental research on different proportion of fiber mortar, the main parameters are: cement matrix, Fiber volume dosage. Results show that the compression, rupture strength achieve the best as the fiber volume dosage at 0.7%. Fiber in this test parameter range play important role.

Abstract: This paper proposed experimental research on different proportion of sulphoaluminate cement, the main parameters are: cement matrix, proportion of sulphoaluminate cement in Portland cement. Results show that the compression, rupture strength achieve the best as the proportion of sulphoaluminate cement in Portland cement come to 5%.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the deformation rule of the new and old roadbed when the new road splicing the old road directly by elastic-plastic plane strain finite element method (FEM).It also analyzes the influence factors of the new and old road foundation settlement by calculating, including the width and height of the embankment, the thickness and deformation module of the groundwork, and widen way.

Abstract: According to the construction specification and relevant data collected from construction situ, quality of cement concrete in pavement of highway was evaluated by statistic result of flexural strength in this paper. The assessment and analysis were based on three statistic parameters of flexural strength, which are the qualified value of flexural strength, the minimum of flexural strength and variation coefficient of flexural strength, respectively. The estimating results could be summarized that the pavement concrete had been endowed with stronger flexural strength and better stability so to satisfy relevant target of highway standards. Meanwhile it was discussed that quality characteristics of pavement concrete was changed with main construction factors included milepost distance, section distribution, half-side spatial position, construction time and other environment. Furthermore, the technical methods for enhancing concrete pavement were proposed.

Abstract: This study focus on derivation of such fragility curves using conventional industrial frames with masonry infill wall. A set of stochastic earthquake waves compatible with the response spectrum of China seismic code selected to represent the variability in ground motion. Dynamic inelastic time history analysis was used to analyze the random sample of structures. Industrial structural seismic capability of longitudinal and transversal orientation is different. Stochastic damage scatter diagrams based different seismic intensity index are obtained. Seismic fragility of longitudinal axis (X axis) is larger than transversal axis (Y axis) of frames under major earthquake obviously.

Abstract: Nowadays, many urban cities in the world are facing problems of urban heat island and lack of greenery space. Rooftop farming is a strategy for intensifying urban agriculture activities, which can not only improve nutrition and food security in urban neighborhoods, but also reduce the energy consumption of air-condition and ease the power shortage in urban area of metropolitan regions. In this study, a thermal experiment and an index of energy saving analysis were carried out in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, China in August 2011, measuring external and internal surface temperatures of roofs with and without greening, using the same set of climate parameters. The experiment results show that the green roof with urban farming can contribute to the modulation of air temperature in the interior spaces of building. During the hot days in summer, the external surface temperatures of green roof are lower than the normal flat one. The result also reveals that external surfaces of vegetated green roof system could effectively lower surface temperature by 6 °C and save 18.7% electric power, comparing with the general flat roof of traditional building.

Abstract: Based reasoning data fusion method, Dempster-Shafer evidence reasoning applies to natural gas pipeline detecting experiments. Through the use of multiple sensors to sample the defect information in natural gas pipeline, extracting characteristic information, using neural network to carry on the fusion recognition, and then the neural networks for normalized output value as evidence, Dempster combination rule to fuse the data further and improve reliability, the final identification of the effective decision-making a type of pipeline defect. This experiment shows the D-S evidence reasoning has a strong ability to deal with uncertain information, the result proved the correctness and effectiveness.

Abstract: This paper deals with the development of a deformation element designed to be used in transportation industry. The aim is to develop a design of thermoplastic composite that begins to warp under a considerable impact loading and thus ensures a high energy absorption. This is accomplished using several modes of deformation. Fiber fracture and delamination of the composite layers can be counted among the most important ones. The shape of the deformation element was designed to utilize the advantages of its thermoplastic matrix when creating the shape of the composite plate as well as when joining the plates together (welding, bonding).
