Test Methods for Intelligent Optical Distribution Network

Abstract:

As an important part of FTTx network, ODN is facing the challenge to better management on large mount optical fibers and ports. Intelligent ODN is a promising solution with automatic deployment and management. Technical solutions are well developed, and part of its standards is in process. But the test consideration is still blank. Based on our study and real network operation experience, we firstly provide a suit of test methods on the evaluation of Intelligent ODN networks.
