Abstract: The developed design of a bypass device with thermo-mechanical converter based on a material with shape memory effect, allowing for multiple performance check at the stage of construction and testing, and ensuring the required level of reliability at reduced weight and size characteristics is described. On the base of the proposed models of bypass actuator a technology is developed for the manufacturing of power contact group that allows obtaining minimal transient resistance of contacts.

Abstract: This paper implements Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to calculate an efficiency measure index of 21 energy power plants that use different technologies, including both renewable and conventional types. Super-efficiency measurements are used to generate a ranking of plants based on their efficiency score that can be used to select among alternatives. It is also showed how DEA can also be adopted to estimate the amount of financial subsidies necessary to make a renewable energy plant as efficient as a conventional energy plant, by calculating the extent to which inefficient power plants over-utilize specific inputs or under-produce outputs.

Abstract: In order to be able to absorb the abandoned wind, increasing wind-connect amount, the paper study the way of wind power, thermal power joint run and puts forward wind power, thermal power joint run optimization model based on the energy-saving generation dispatching way under the environment of TOU price and the target of minimizing the cost of coal-fired cost, unit commitment and pollution emissions. The numerical example finds, the TOU price can realize the goal of peak load shifting, increasing the electricity demand in the low load and reducing electricity demand in the peak load. The model can increase the amount of wind-connect grid, absorb the abandoned wind, reduce the use of coal-fired units under the environment, increase the average electricity sales price and profit of Power Company. Therefore, the model has significant economical environmental benefits

Abstract: To relieve the pressure of the energy reservation and emission reduction, and to enhance the effect of the economy and environment profits, the report establishes an evaluating model based on the value of coal saving and the pollutant emission reduction value and the count of the electricity sale-purchase increment, which is various and cross-field. Through the model, the report evaluates the 4 cross-field projects by comparing the single coal-fired power transaction with the various, and analyses the outcome of the transaction in terms of the economy and environment. Finally coming to the conclusion, more economy and environment profits will be achieved when various power generation methods are used in power generation exchange.

Abstract: Photovoltaic (PV) system is one kind of important renewable energy source, the model of the PV is the most important component that affects the accuracy of simulation and control. An engineering method of modeling and simulation of photovoltaic is presented in this paper, the model need only some parameters that provide by the PV manufacture, it has a better commonality and it is simple and practicable.

Abstract: An interesting application of solar energy for methane production is here analysed in terms of energetic efficiency. The application (called Solargas) is constituted by photovoltaic (PV) panels, an electrolyser and a Sabatier reactor. PV panels pick up the solar energy to supply the electrolyser. The electrolyser produces hydrogen from water; the produced hydrogen is used in a Sabatier reactor to obtain methane. Solargas system is here compared to typical biogas and wood chip production systems in terms of the ratio between the output fuel energy and the input solar energy.

Abstract: A battery management system (BMS) is described along with important features for protecting and optimizing the performance of large 18650 lithium power battery packs. Of particular interest is the selection of many cells, that is, according to the system needs to choose healthy cells into the system to run. In order to shorten the cycle of research, the paper proposed a BMS based on virtual instrument (VI) data acquisition system. It can monitor parameters such as monomer voltage, total voltage, current, temperature, estimating state of charge (SOC) etc, and it also can control switch when a parameter exceeds the allowed range, the corresponding monomer cell will be automatically cut off the switch and alarm. Experimental results are included for a pack of seven 2.2 Ah (amp-hour) 18650 lithium power cells. It can monitor the status of the lithium-ion battery pack according to the security metrics of 18650 power lithium cells. It can control other types of power batteries by means of modified index.

Abstract: This paper presents a ultra low voltage resonant converter for thermoelectric energy harvesting.A key challenge in designing energy harvesting system is that thermoelectric generators output a very low voltage (-0.3V~0.3V). Therefore, a power converter is used to boost the output voltage of the energy transducer and transfer energy into an energy buffer for storage. The converter operates from input voltages ranging from-500mV to-60mV and 60mV to 500mV while supplying a 4.2 V DC output. The converter consumes 88μW of quiescent power, delivers up to 1.6 (1.8) mW of output power, and is 65(67)% efficient for a-100mV and 100mV input, respectively.

Abstract: Computational Fluids Dynamics was performed to simulate the performance of torque and output power of wind turbine. Propeller of wind turbine is made by sandwich composite. The composite is combination of ramie fiber with Albizia wood as a core. FLUENT is used to perform simulation of propeller at different wind speeds. The wind speeds ranges from 3 to 5 m/s at coastal area of Kwaru, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Spallart-Almaras method uses to simulate the torque and power output at different Reynold Number. The simulation result shows that the torque of rotor ranges from 25 to 75 Nm, power outputs range from 50 to 240 W and power output coefficients are lay between 0.35 to 0.40 for wind speed from 3 to 5 m/s which is typical in coastal area of Indonesia.
