Properties and Application of Semi-Flexible Material in Highway Engineering

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper studies the Marshall stability, splitting strength and compressive strength testsof the semi-flexible mixture at first, several steps which should be taken to achieve the optimal mixproportion are presented as below: optimal gradation, optimal fluid content, optimal asphalt content, optimal cement content. Secondly introduces systematically the performance, proportioning designand construction process of semi-flexible mixture. Finally as a structural layer can be a goodsolution to the problem of reflecting crack phenomenon of asphalt pavements, aiming at providingreference to its extension and application.
