Cutting Force Prediction and Simulation for Quasi-Symmetric Milling of the Stator's Inner Helicoid

Abstract:

For fixed size disk milling cutter quasi-symmetric milling method of screw stators inner helicoid, geometric model of the cutting is studied and the force prediction formula is derived according to the plasticity theory. The finite element method model and simulation of the cutting process are studied. In the condition with the same cutting parameters, simulation results and the prediction calculation results are compared. It provides data support to the design of transmission mechanism and the optimization of cutting parameters.
