Manufacture and Analysis of Gas-Sensitive Elements Based on Polypyrrole and its Compounds with Nickel Ions
Abstract:
Various polymers have found application in ecological monitoring (as sensors of foreign matter in air). One of the most appreciated features of a great many of compounds of this class is an ability to change physical properties when being affected by a number of factors (e.g. resistance variation depending on application of certain substances). Properties of a polymeric material are determined not only by its composition, but by methods of polymerization, mutual arrangement of chain units and volume structure, as well, i.e. by its structure at the supramolecular level. We applied methods of quantum chemical calculation to determine the types of interaction between an ammonia molecule and a pyrrole pentamer.
