Experiment of Transient Electric Shock under HVDC Transmission Lines

Article Preview

Abstract:

With the HVDC transmission projects developing rapidly, the relevent electromagnetic environment problems are widely concerned, of which the transient electric caused by the conductor electrification in ionized field may seriously influences the feelings of people. To invesigate the tansient electric shock procedure, the transient current is measured in the experiment. The simulation results agrees well with the measured values and the validity of the simulation model is verified. The simulation results show that the resistance in the discharging circuit can reduce the current evidently. It is also found that the metal objects under the HVDC lines should be grouded to avoid discharging when touched by the people.
