Study and Application of Hydrophobic Coatings of Epoxy Resin Modified by Nano-SiO2

Abstract:

Through adding in the epoxy resin coatings with low surface energy fluorine surfactants and hydrophobic SiO2 nanoparticles,prepare hydrophobic coating with imitation lotus leaf surface structure in the carbon steel surface.Discuss the influence of Hydrophobic nano-SiO2 content to the adhesion of the coating and the substrate and the static contact angle,and use scanning electron microscopy analysis of the surface structure of the coating.The results showed that the coating has a rough structure like the surface of the lotus leaf, and when the hydrophobic nano SiO2 content is 10%, the contact angle of water droplets on the coating surface is 141°C, which has good hydrophobic properties.
