Studies on Small Pieces of Cargo Distribution by Intercity Passenger Bus

Abstract:

Delivering cargo by intercity passenger bus has the advantages of saving distribution costs, protecting environment, easing traffic pressure, improving security of distribution and so on. For urban and rural distribution, this paper analyses the luggage compartment size and utilization of Chinas popular intercity passenger bus, studies the feasibility of small pieces of cargo distribution by intercity passenger bus, and then proposes the establishment of distribution nodes, loading process and unloading process. The effectiveness and feasibility of small goods distribution by intercity passenger bus is verified by the empirical analysis of Feihe Parcel Express Company.
