Abstract: The paper proposes a new design of high-accuracy On-line Metal Thickness Measuring Instrument, which was based on EP2C20 series FPGA chip, through adding NiosII soft processor and other interfaces to FPGA, equipped with high precision data collection system and TFT LCD module and so on. The key hardware blocks schematics and components of the RC Oscillation Circuit,eddy current sensor Circuit,rectifier and filter Circuit,A/D converting circuit,FPGA Circuit are described,software flow charts and sample codes are given. According to practice, The measurement range of this system is 1~100 mm and the resolving power is 0.1 μm. degree of linearity is 1%, The system has many features including small volume of hardware, low cost, high detecting precision, convenient operating, high intelligent and so on, leading to broad and bright future.

Abstract: In this paper, the liquor brands were identified based on the near infrared spectroscopy method and the principal component analysis. 60 samples of 6 different brands liquor were measured by the spectrometer of USB4000. Then, in order to eliminate the noise caused by the external factors, the smoothing method and the multiplicative scatter correction method were used. After the preprocessing, we got the revised spectra of the 60 samples. The difference of the spectrum shape of different brands is not much enough to classify them. So the principal component analysis was applied for further analysis. The results showed that the first two principal components variance contribution rate had reached 99.06%, which can effectively represent the information of the spectrums after preprocessing. From the scatter plot of the two principal components, the 6 different brands of liquor were identified more accurate and easier than the spectra curves.

Abstract: The mathematical description and the computer program Devil Erosion of calculation the two-dimensional temperature fields in any vertical and horizontal section of the blast furnace hearth are developed. Calculation is carry out the decision of the equations of heat conductivity with use of indications of the big number of sensing transducers of temperature (to 1000), built in the furnaces firebrick lining between the firebrick blocks. The continuous control of the temperature change in each point allows to define the remained thickness the firebrick lining and to warn, in case of need, the furnace personnel about the beginning of the firebrick lining erosion. The continuous control of change of temperature in the firebrick lining is made on the basis of mathematical model. The system of collecting, processing and transfer information from sensing transducers of temperature or thermal streams in a program database Devil Erosion is used. Programs are installed on blast furnaces of Chinese National Republic: Jinan, Jiyuan and Liuzhou Iron and Steel Works.

Abstract: Small watershed floods have a short confluence time. Aiming at the demand of flash floods forecast, we do this research mainly around two key components, telemetry terminal and central station software. First, we design the telemetry terminal technology index, telemetry terminal circuit and GXU-1001 Hydrological Telemetry Terminal. They all based on equipment interface, communication channel, working mode, data sampling, solid-state storage, data query, parameter settings, power management, equipment, power consumption and other special technical requirements. Second, we developed central station software for GXU-1001, realize the telemetry terminal set parameters, received and compiled data, managed database, remote diagnosis and calibration, forwarded data, leak proof message, etc. The application in medium reservoirs of Baise, Guangxi, China shows the water level, rainfall, and images can be automatically acquired, transfered and processed. It provides timely and accurate hydrological data for the flood control and disaster mitigation.

Abstract: This paper through studying the theory of data warehouse and data mining, applies these technologies to deal with the large number data in the Ticket Selling and Reserving System of Chinese Railway (TRS), uses the effective data mining to the passenger flow analysis, builds up the logical forecasting and analysis model. This paper firstly discusses the current situation and problems faced by forecasting of passenger flow, then applies the data warehouse technology to design the data mart of this subject. Next, samples and analyses this data which collecting in data mart adopting neural network method, builds data analysis model carrying out research and the experiment, finally puts forward a feasible forecast model for the passenger flow forecasting.

Abstract: Bit Pattern Media Recording (BPMR) is the modern HDD recording technique which can overcome the constraint of conventional technique by offering tremendous areal density. However, narrow track of BPMR can cause noise generating from inter-track interference (ITI) and In. inter-symbol interference (ISI). One traditional technique used to improve BER of the system is the introducing of error control coding. In this paper, we investigate concatenate code applied to BPMR. We proposed inner code with low-density parity-check (LDPC) and Reed-Solomon (RS) codes as outer code. The obtained simulation results confirmed to us that the concatenated coding scheme yielded better performance compared with the single LDPC code deployment.

Abstract: This paper introduces the design process of the digital ultrasonic transmission circuit: echo receiving circuit and the echo signal regulate circuit. Among them, outside 500 V DC - DC module for high voltage power input, use non-tuned type circuit design ultrasonic transmission circuit ; Select high voltage fast recovery diode FR107 design echo receiving limiter circuit; Using ultra-high speed, low noise, low distortion of the integrated operational amplifier MAX4104ESA design preamplifier circuits and the band-pass filter circuits; Using linear decibels, low noise, wide bandwidth, high gain accuracy amplifier AD603 design echo amplifying circuit. The experimental results indicate that the basic realization of the ultrasonic transceiver circuit and echo signal conditioning functions.

Abstract: In this paper, two shortcomings of standard ART2/ART2A algorithm were revealed through theoretical analysis: (1)Standard ART2/ART2A algorithm is only suitable for the case in the nonnegative real number field because of a limit of pretreating process in F1 layer; (2)Even through all input patterns are shifted to the nonnegative real number field through coordinate transformation, the standard ART2/ART2A algorithm can not correctly recognize those patterns which have same phase, but different amplitudes. As a result, the standard ART2/ART2A algorithm is not quite suitable for universal pattern recognition. So this paper presented a new nonlinear transforming function in F1 layer and a new competitive learning formula in F2 layer for traditional ART2/ART2A algorithm. The applicable scope of the new ART2/ART2A algorithm is expanded to entire real number field from nonnegative real number field. The result of typical calculation example shows that the presented algorithm is effective.
