Abstract: Based on the limited displacement theory and iteration method, took into account characteristics of concrete self-anchored suspension bridge, converted effects of prestress, shrinkage and creep in concrete into equivalent loads, made use of the finite element software ANSYS, and took a concrete self-anchored suspension bridge in China as an example, the initial equilibrium state analysis for this type of bridge under static load was carried out in this paper in order to obtain main cable curve and reasonable internal force of the girder and hangers under dead load. The results showed that, the main cable curve was smooth, the distribution of the hangers axial force was uniform, and the concrete girder had certain amount of compressive stress reserves.

Abstract: An accurate finite element model is a necessity for analyzing the bridge's health status. The uniform design combined with response surface finite element model updating method is proposed in this paper. The error of data obtained from updating model is less than 3% by contrasting static load test data in Shihe Bridge. The result shows that the updating model has a good fit with the actual bridge.

Abstract: According to the old bridge damaged emergency conversion program, this study investigates the flow changes during the coexistence of old and new bridge and contraction effect. The flow rate between piers increasing, thereby accelerating erosion. This study uses SMS-2D unsteady flow model to simulate old pier into the pre-construction setting due to their contraction flows and further necessary hydraulic structures and facilities for temporary protection during bridge construction against accelerating erosion for CheCheng Bridge in PenTung country, Taiwan as case study, thus, providing reliable information and references for bridge engineers.

Abstract: Each related index was compared in three specifications, including Fundamental code for design on railway bridge and culvert, Code for rating existing railway bridges, and Code for design of high speed railway. The reasons of the difference existed in indexes was revealed, especially between high speed railway bridge and normal speed railway bridge.

Abstract: The collapse-proof effect of unseating prevention devices are influenced by the design parameters under earthquake. Combine with existing relational design standards of unseating prevention devices at home and abroad, the dynamical analysis has been used to get the seismic response of bridges with different parameter cable-unseating prevention devices. The influence of design parameters on the collapse-proof effect and internal force of unseating prevention devices are been analyzed. The result show that the unseating prevention devices can play the role to proof the collapse, and it can enhance the anti-pushing rigidity and integrity of structure. The effect of collapse-proof decrease as the cable length and primary clearance increase, the internal force of unseating prevention devices is larger than the design bearing capacity while the parameters are both smaller, even some has exceed its yield tension.

Abstract: In order to establish and solve vehicle-bridge interaction matrix equations more easily and able to be applied to any vehicle-bridge interaction problems, a procedure has been programmed based on the ANSYS and MATLAB. Its feasibility and accuracy has been verified via comparing the results of a simple example with another verified procedure programed in the same method based on MATLAB. A study of contrasting moving load model and moving sprung mass model has been done with the former procedure. It indicates that the inertia force of the mass has a low effect on the dynamic response of vehicle and bridge when the vertical roughness of the bridge and damping effect are ignored.

Abstract: Simulation was conducted to study the feasibility of TLD (tuned liquid damper) on the vibration and noise reduction of rail transit viaduct box girder bridges. The vibration of a 30m span simply supported box girder bridge paved with slab track was modeled in ANSYS. The noise radiation characteristics before and after the installation of TLD were analyzed with Virtual.lab. Results show that TLD can effectively reduce the vibration and noise radiation of rail transit box girder bridges. The vertical displacement peaks of the flange and web can decrease about 40%, while the lateral displacement amplitudes decline by 30%. The lateral noise near webs can reduce 2~3db. The vertical damping property of TLD changes along with the difference of liquid level, and improper use can increase the surface vibration on the contrary. It is suggested that TLD should be used in engineering together with other vibration control measures to reduce the disadvantages.

Abstract: In order to study the seismic performance of steel plate reinforcement on gravity piers in railway bridges, a quasi-static test was conducted on the 0.2% steel ratio pier model. Shearing damage on the pier model occurred on the action of horizontal load. Steel-bonded reinforcement was conducted on the damaged model, and comparison and analysis were made based on the failure mode, bearing capacity, ductility, energy dissipation capacity and stiffness degradation.

Abstract: Research on design scheme of CWR on large-span bridge in alpine region when expansion joint of rail is not need with the Qinghai-Tibet railway as the research background. The deformation of beam under temperature change was analyzed through Newton iteration method and Finite-Element Method with the seamless track calculation model of line-bridge-pier integration. Design program of setting buffer was adopted after comparison and selection. Continuously welded rail on bridge satisfied the design requirements when design stress-free temperature of rail take 18±3°C and 18±4°C. This research put forward a new design in order to solve laid seamless line on large-span bridge in large temperature difference.

Abstract: There is a foundation pit of box culverts adjacent to the water pipe bridge of the Dam River in Shenzhen. This text uses large finite element software MIDAS/GTS to do the three-dimensional numerical simulation of pile-earth-supporting anchor, and analyzes the influences on the pipe bridge during the evacuation of the foundation pit with box culverts. This text is on the purpose of providing suggestion for the design and construction of the foundation pit.
