Abstract: In order to implement the accuracy and robust classification of Chinese dates according to size and color based on computer vision techniques on line, the method of classification according to size and color for Chinese date was studied. Taking the black rollers as background, the Chinese date images were pre-segmented by double thresholds in RGB color space. Through morphological operation, contour trace and region fill, the whole Chinese date target was obtained. the maximum diameter value was used to be the character value for size classification. The difference of saturation and hue of pericarp area in HIS color space was the color grading criteria. The results indicated that the accuracy of diameter measurement is 1.92mm, Experiment results proved the methods is effective to classify Chinese date by size and shape.

Abstract: This paper presents the application of artificial neural networks in the analysis of the structural integrity of a building. The main objective is to apply an artificial neural network based on adaptive resonance theory, called ARTMAP-Fuzzy neural network and apply it to the identification and characterization of structural failure. This methodology can help professionals in the inspection of structures, to identify and characterize flaws in order to conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity of the structure and decision-making. In order to validate the methodology was modeled a building of two walk, and from this model were simulated various situations (base-line condition and improper conditions), resulting in a database of signs, which were used as input data for ARTMAP-Fuzzy network. The results show efficiency, robustness and accuracy.

Abstract: A wireless monitoring system based on ZigBee has been designed to improve the efficiency of the water quality monitoring for Jinshan Lake. The system controls the monitoring facilities via the wireless sensor network for data collection and transfers the data to controlling center where the data will be memorized to the database via wireless transmission. The system consists of data remote collection, data wireless transmission, data memorizing and warning for pollution over-standard.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to enhance productivity and economic value with precise object information generation and reinforcement quantity take-off by developing the Automation Reinforcement Placement System of Foundation (ARPF). This study was conducted by selecting the most basic form, spread footing, and no force was applied on the foundation other than axial force. For the development of ARPF, variables that should be input into the typical programs directly by users were minimized through developing the reinforcement placement algorithm by using visual C# based on the reinforced concrete structure design standard. The process of reinforcement detail placement formation was performed in the Tekla Structure (TS) that has outstanding accessibility and usability of API. Objects made by applying ARPF enable information confirmation and modification, as typical ones. Through this process using ARPF, rapid and precise reinforcement quantity take-off and footing bar placement are possible. If modeling is performed on the Tekla Structures by using ARPF, a detailed 3D reinforcement placing drawing, not 2D, can be created. It is expected that this method may take a smaller amount of time and effort than the typical drawing generation method that users had to generate objects or input information themselves.

Abstract: In this study we proposed a semi-compensatory model to analyze the mode choice behavior. The proposed model formulated the conjunctive rule through a straightforward way. The proposed model can take into account the probability distribution of the threshold involved by the conjunctive rule. To estimate the parameters of the proposed model, we derived the posterior distribution of the parameters by using the Bayes theorem and developed a blacked Metropolis-Hastings algorithm to carry out the estimation based on the posterior distribution. We also employed the data augmentation technology to simplify the estimation procedure. The proposed model was validated by using a SP survey dataset. We compared the performance of the proposed model to that of the logit model.
