Abstract: In this paper, a mechanical model has been established for elastic support element of high speed winding machine, and an analytical-experimental study has been carried out for the evaluation of frequency dependence the stiffness and damping of the "O" type rubber ring, the key factors which influence the stiffness and damping have been obtained. This lays a foundation for further study on frequency characteristic of kinetic parameters of high speed winding machine elastic support system.

Abstract: Ink penetration and distribution affect the final appearance of printing and usage of ink, which are closely concerned by printer and paper maker. The objective of this experiment was to investigate the relationship between drying and back trap mottle. The different drying temperature was carried out to change the coating structure and properties. Fluorescent ink was used to observe and characterize ink distribution by LSCM. The results indicated that drying temperature affected ink distribution evenness. Higher and lower drying temperature could not contribute to ink absorption uniformity. Appropriate drying temperature could contribute to form the best printability of coated paper. Backtrap mottle was tightly linked with ink penetration evenness and uniform ink absorption leaded to little back trap mottle.

Abstract: The torsional vibration of an elastic supporting pile embedded in a radially inhomogeneous saturated soil due to construction disturbance is investigated. At first, the composite soil layer is divided into outer semi-infinite undisturbed and inner annular disturbed zones, and the inner disturbed zone is subdivided into N thin concentric annular sub-layers. Then, the complex impedance at the top end of the pile is derived by substituting the available analytical expression for the shear rigidity of the composite soil layer into the governing equation of the pile. Finally, selected numerical results are obtained to analyze the influence of the radial inhomogeneity of the surrounding soil on the torsional vibration characteristics of the pile.

Abstract: The permeability of coarse-grained soil is influenced by many factors. The results of permeability tests in different conditions indicate the effects of coarse-grained soil dry density of , fines content P5,void ratio e and nonuniform coefficient Cu to the permeability coefficient. Analyzing the relationship between coarse-grained soil dry density , fines content P5, void ratio e, nonuniform coefficient Cu and permeability coefficient, thus there is a relational expression between coarse-grained soil dry density of soil , fines content P5, void ratio e, nonuniform coefficient Cu and permeability coefficient.

Abstract: Seepage failure is an important factor in causing dam-break of earth-rock dam, so the study of anti-seepage reinforcement for dilapidated reservoirs is always an important topic to earth-rock dam. Changli reservoir, since the completion, soil flow and failure by piping occur in dam slopes, the safety of downstream residents has been threatened both in life and property. Based on the comparisons of the effects of anti-seepage reinforcement schemes,the result shows that, for this clay dam, concrete cut-off wall can improve the seepage state obviously and has a higher operational stability. Thus, the concrete cut-off wall is designated as the recommended anti-seepage scheme for Changli reservoir.

Abstract: The new pipe pressure sensor is a clamp-on ICP (Integrated Circuit Piezoelectric) type dynamic pressure sensor, mainly for the clamp-on pressure testing of high pressure fuel pipe. In testing, the vibration of the fuel injection pumps and diesel engine will disturb the clamp-on pressure signals, resulting in one of the measured signal to noise ratio is low, the second is the test system, in particular the signal transmission have a significant impact. In response to these problems, designed a PCI data acquisition card building-in constant-current source and special low pass filter, and developed the corresponding data acquisition software based on C++ Builder. The bench and real vehicle testing show: the test system can better fit with the new type pressure sensor to obtain accurate clamp-on pressure signals.

Abstract: This paper proposed a metal belt continuously variable transmission (MB-CVT) model on the basis of elastic mechanics theory to describe the strain energy power loss (SEPL) of metal rings. The metal rings were simplified as combined thin wall cylinder model in the arc part and simple tension model in the straight part. The results show that, the SEPL scope of the metal rings are 27.15-86.73W, the SEPL reduced when the transmission ratio is 1. This result shows a well agreement with the theory analysis.

Abstract: Trailing cone method is generally used for atmospheric pressure measurement among airspeed calibration, of which the accuracy is not high enough and the hysteresis error exists. So a long-distance outboard precision airspeed calibration method is put forward. This paper focuses on the study on parametric design of static tube which is the sensing element of the newmethod. The flow field of the static tube is simulated and analyzed to get position error curve in flight test environment by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology. Based on the simulation result and considering the impact of front and rear connectors, the main geometric paramters of static tube is determined and optimized. The calculation result indicates that, pressure coefficient Cp of the static tube is less than 0.0198.

Abstract: Ship optimization design is a typical multi-objective problem. The multi-objective optimization algorithm based on physical programming is able to obtain evenly distributed Pareto front. But the number of Pareto solutions and the search positions of pseudo-preference structures still exit some disadvantages that are improved in this paper. Firstly uniform design for mixture experiments is used to arbitrarily set the number of Pareto solutions and evenly distribute the search positions of pseudo-preference structures. Then the objective space is searched by shrinking of search domain and rotation of pseudo-preference structure technology. The optimization quality is able to be improved. Finally, the improved multi-objective optimization algorithm is applied to ship conceptual design optimization and compared with the multi-objective evolutionary algorithm to verify the effectiveness of the improved algorithm.
