Numerical Simulation of Non-Contoured Aerial Cable Tension

Article Preview

Abstract:

Since the cable structure has the characteristics that its initial form and initial prestressing are interacted unknown values, the FEM software ANSYS was used in this paper, based on the nonlinear finite element theory, the form-finding analysis steps for aerial cable was established. Then based on these steps, the form-finding analysis for non-contoured aerial cable was carried out, and the safety of the form-finding model under icing conditions was evaluated.
