A Study of the Micrometeorological Characteristics in the Surface Layer of Kangding Airport

Article Preview

Abstract:

The micrometeorological characteristics have been analyzed based on data of the Kangding airport during Mar., May.-Jul., Sep., 2010. Due to the variability of the westerly over the airport, it was cold and dry on Mar. and rainy season started on May. when the precipitation mainly occurred during 17:00-23:00. The obviously 30-50 day intra-seasonal oscillation of precipitation at airport was closely related to the 850-hPa U-wind at the Bay of Bengal from May. to Sep.. Because of the more cloud cover, the daily rang of temperature and station pressure was reduced.
