Load-Settlement (Q-s) Curves Fitting and Bearing Capacity Forecast of Piles with Expanded Branches and Plates

Article Preview

Abstract:

118 Q-s curves of piles cast-in-situ with expanded branches and plates bearing pressure load were fitted via trendline of Excel. Bearing capacities on 51 of the 118 piles were forecasted. 12 Q-s curves of anti-pulls piles cast-in-situ with expanded branches and plates were fitted. Through the above work, the author found that order 3 polynomial fitting model is the most reliable model for fitting Q-s curves of piles with expanded branches and plates when bearing pressure or uplift load. In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of the fitting and forecasting, multi-model should be used.
