Abstract: In this paper, we study the ability limit of EDAs to effectively solve problems in relation to the number of interactions among the variables. More in particular, we numerically analyze the learning limits that different EDA implementations encounter to solve problems on a sequence of additively decomposable functions (ADFs) in which new sub-functions are progressively added. The study is carried out in a worst-case scenario where the sub-functions are defined as deceptive functions. We argue that the limits for this type of algorithm are mainly imposed by the probabilistic model they rely on. Beyond the limitations of the approximate learning methods, the results suggest that, in general, the use of bayesian networks can entail strong computational restrictions to overcome the limits of applicability.

Abstract: Human tongue has complex structure and involves in chewing function, such as transporting and mixing foods. In order to develop tongue block of the bionic chewing equipment to make the food materials slide from the lingual surface to the tooth surface as much as possible in the same time, three-dimensional model of tongue block was built according to the geometric shape and physiology characteristic of the human tongue. The discrete element method was used to simulate the whole delivery process of food materials to teeth area, and then the geometrical parameters of the tongue block were optimized. The simulated results showed that when the height of the tongue tip and the tongue root were fixed, the optimal slope angles which have the decisive effect on the process of food materials slide were 32°and 2° respectively. The results provided a theoretical basis for the processing of tongue block of the bionic chewing equipment.

Abstract: With the FPGA technology progressing, the speed, the internal multiplier and the internal RAM of the FPGA are increasing. Its internal resource can be allocated flexibility, and there is no limit on the pipeline stages, so it is more suitable for real-time video processing comparing with the previous DSP and PC. By this reason, the DE2 development system is selected as the real-time video processing platform, which has a core of the Cyclone II series FPGA, in which the calculation of LK-algorithm-based real-time optical flow is implemented. Finally, by the reasonable overall arrangement for the pipeline and the sub-pipeline, the system achieves the real-time video motion tracking for the 640×480 resolution 30 frames/s images.

Abstract: This paper is based on the project of a large-scale company’s OSTA system. In view of the situation of low efficiency, inaccuracy and fallibility during the OSTA departments handmade data process, the solution which is based on JSF、Spring and iBATIS should be pointed out. Combined with the latest Web technology, the OSTA system has realized IT management, which should share the whole information with original human resource system.

Abstract: By choosing even universal Lyapunov’s function, we obtain sufficient condition of independent stability and exponential stability of delayed system . By choosing a set of suitable parameters, we can reduce the conservation of condition. As a result, this method provides a new way to ameliorate stability in robustness bounds and robustness control for uncertain system with delayed state. Analyze oil-water separation process of control system in the unite station. Obtain variation relevancy chart with oil-water separation process. Clear classify the relation among variation.

Abstract: In this paper, a predator–prey model with discrete and distributed delays is investigated. the direction of Hopf bifurcation as well as stability of periodic solution are studied. The method which we used is the normal form theory and center manifold. At last, an example showed the feasibility of results.

Abstract: In this paper, the synchronization for two fractional-order systems is investigated. Firstly, the chaotic attractors of two systems are got by means of numerical simulation. Then based on the stability theory of fractional-order systems, the synchronization of these two systems is realized. Numerical simulations are used to demonstrate the effectiveness for the controllers.

Abstract: We herein propose a repair-replace strategy to minimize the expected warranty servicing costs for manufacturers when the items sold with a free repair-replacement warranty policy. Manufacturers usually rectify a failure either by repairing the failed item or by replacing it with a new one when a repairable product fails under warranty. In addition, the rectification action influences the repair and warranty servicing cost. Except for the time or age, the usage intensity is often another essential factor that accounts for the failure of the product, which varies the population of users. Our strategy classified the usage population into several groups and provided different repair actions for various groups.

Abstract: This paper explains and demonstrates how to calculate liquid limit of soil with TREND function of Excel and MATLAB via test data. The current graphical methods to determine liquid limit exist estimated reading results being not accurate enough. The TREND function of Excel was introduced and the related Excel worksheet was created, corresponding codes in MATLAB were programming similarly. The method of using Excel spreadsheets or MATLAB is very simple, efficient and accurate.

Abstract: Focusing on video steganographic, a method based on motion vector is proposed to solve the problem of low security and low quality of video after embedding. A set of the motion vectors with magnitude greater than a predefined threshold are selected. And the secret message is embedded in the vertical or horizontal component of those motion vectors through the proper range of the phase angle. Steganographic between the message and vector motion with pseudorandom sequence generated by key. Experimental results show that this method has low impact on cover video, and also has low computation cost, high anti-statistical properties based on motion vectors difference.
