Parametric Modeling of Involute Spur Gear Based on AutoCAD

Abstract:

This paper, taking the involute spur gear as a research object and using the LISP module embedded in AutoCAD, studies how to realize the drawing of two-dimensional graphics of the involute tooth profile and keyway of spur gear effectively and efficiently. The study, using the commands, such as stretch and Boolean operation of AutoCAD after programming, has realized the parametric modeling. By using this method, one can model them quickly, and lay the foundation of the assemble and analysis for the next step.
