Article Preview

Abstract:

Coal occupies a relatively large part of China’s energy consumption and therefore efficiency of coal utilization is essential to the overall energy efficiency of the nation. By cointegration analysis on the concentration degree and energy efficiency of China’s Coal Industry from 1993 to 2011,the thesis finds that the two are positively correlated in the long run. Efforts should be made to further advance industrial concentration in coal sector, put an end to the situation marked by small companies in disorder, give full play to scale economy and promote the energy efficiency.
