Abstract:

Resource-based cities in China are numerous, special urban formation mechanism and industrial structure make the resource-based cities to present unique urban spatial structure. Taking Pingdingshan (coal resource-based city) as an example, this article puts forward the corresponding spatial structure optimization strategy for the city's transformation and sustainable development by researching the city's spatial structure evolution, development characteristics and existing problems, and hopes to provide the experience of space structure adjustment and optimization for the similar resource-based cities, and then promotes the implementation of the resource-based cities' transformation and sustainable development in China.
