Study on Conveyor AMESim Model and Motor Starting Interval

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper sets up a model of belt conveyor driven by two drive pulleys and three motors based on AMESim. The starting performance of conveyor is studied in three cases of motor starting interval: without time interval, with three second interval, and with five second interval. The conclusion is as following: the longer the time interval, the smaller the impact on the belt, and the acceleration of belt and gravity take-up. The simulation design suggests that three second interval and dual gravity take-ups should be taken. And the output torque of drive system should be reduced by 8—15%.
