Abstract: This paper describes the purpose of device for collection and transmission of data to diagnose the condition of the dam, the structure of the application software and the features of the system. This paper also describes an adaptive algorithm of sensor polling designed for operation on dams. Advantages and disadvantages of this algorithm are presented.

Abstract: This paper describes the algorithm of positioning a vehicle on a route that uses only limited information about the transport infrastructure. The key idea is the thesis that an algorithm, which does not have cartographic information about the structure of the road network, can be used for tasks related to the definition of the next waypoint, such as sound notification of the current and the next public transport's stops.

Abstract: This paper describes how to improve the reliability and comfort telephony based on intelligent microprocessor terminals intended for operation on the remote and distant objects. The criteria of evaluation "comfortable" telephony and the method of quantitative evaluation are developed. An algorithm for automatic selection of data channels and automatic correction of audio data stream transmission's delay is suggested. The results of the partial testing of the developed algorithm are presented.

Abstract: The role of systems based on Semantic Web technologies is rising. Today there is a big set of tools to use semantic technologies. However, to date there were no recommendations given about architecture of information systems based on ontologies and Semantic Web technologies. Such architecture is suggested in the article. This architecture is intended for software engineers interested in design and development of such information systems.

Abstract: The article introduces a method of online social network users’ sentiment evaluation. The advantage of the proposed method consists in its ability to take into account user’s influence as well as the fact that a user could be an author of several messages. Results presented in this paper have been used in the past in mechanical engineering to analyze reviews on products as well as in robotics for developing user communication interfaces. The paper shows the steps of calculation of the sentiment of messages on a certain topic in online social networks. The proposed method is deployed with a view of developing analytic tools and visualizations that make use of more than one such datasets in Web Observatories.

Abstract: In this paper we propose an algorithm for efficient production of pseudo-random vectors uniformly distributed in an n-dimensional cone. The method shows higher efficiency compared to the process of elimination in the case of large dimensions. The results of computer experiments confirm the theoretical construct.

Abstract: Recent research studies in the sphere of computer tomography are connected with the task of image analysis. Due to the fact that computed tomography images include artifacts, low contrast and different types of noises, researchers have to deal with a wide range of problems during the processing. There is a wide variety of preliminary processing methods which allow solving these problems. Obviously, the choice of these methods has a major impact on the result [1]. However, algorithm analysis of computed tomography images is not considered in the literature nowadays. This work presents an overview of the implementation approach of these methods.

Abstract: The following article features the results of developing distributed network storage of ground meteorological observation data. The data is represented with the national variant of international rapid transmission code of environment data from meteorological stations across the Russian Federation. They are available for researchers in both visual and common export formats. The design of the distributed network storage of meteorological data includes the following modules: dispatcher module (monitors calculation nodes, distributes data to nodes, processes client requests), client module (allows external researchers to access the meteorological data), terminal module (used to import new meteorological data), data processing and storage module (a node for distributed meteorological data storage, consists of two sub-modules for data processing and data storage respectively). The article displays the results of practical testing of the developed software. To simulate the cluster of informational and calculation servers in the pilot project, multithreading was used. Multithreading is supported by nearly every operational system for parallel data processing. The development tools chosen for the network storage allowed to design storage module interaction with the optimal efficiency, to ensure proper performance, stability and reliability of processing and managing large amounts of data. The obtained results allow using the designs for efficient management of meteorological surface observation data, for rapid data gathering, for systematization and storage of hydro-meteorological data in different alphanumeric codes and other related categories.

Abstract: Nowadays CBIR is getting more and more attention from organizations and researchers due to advances in digital imaging techniques. A lot of interest is getting paid to search images from large databases, as it is not only difficult and time-consuming task but sometimes frustrating for the users. This paper proposes the CBIR system based on color, texture and shape features. The proposed method employs the use of DCT and DWT along with Hierarchical k-means algorithm for faster retrieval of images. The efficiency of the given method is demonstrated by the results in the paper.
