The SEM and EDX analyses showed that surface films containing Ca and P (along with the
other atoms present in the materials) were formed on all materials.
Thus all the tested materials showed signs of in vitro bioactivity.

The effects are analyzed of reinforced materials on the bearing characteristic of the cushion.
The reinforced materials can adjust the stress distribution and settlement distribution of the cushion.
In order to overcome the shortage of discrete materials, the reinforced materials, such as geogrid, geocell, are put in the discrete materials and form a reinforced cushion.
(4) The reinforced materials can restrict the settlement effectively.
Clem: submitted to Journal of Materials Research (2003) [8] HUANG Xian-zhi,QI Lian-sheng, BAI Xiao-hong.
