In this study, the HCHO removal efficiency by chitosan additives was evaluated for two building materials - adhesive and plywood.
The major HCHO sources are building materials (adhesive and plywood) and paints.
In this paper, it is innovative to use the chitosan additives in building materials as well as decrease air pollution (HCHO) emission.
In this research, a novel approach of chitosan additive to suppress the formaldehyde emission from building materials was developed in order to improve IAQ and decrease cancer risk.

Extended shelf-life of materials can be achieved by reducing the moisture content to levels below those required by microorganisms [5].
Materials and Methods Materials Ganoderma lucidum after being harvested in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam had a moisture content of about 75% (wet basis) and were dried by hot air convective oven at 50°C for 3 - 4 days to reach moisture content of about 20% (wet basis).
The experimental materials were spread on a stainless steel mesh (20 x 20 cm) to form a thin layer.

There were box body, cushion block, seal material, loading gasket and so on in the testing box.
The seal material was new with some strength and small friction, which could well insulate from high pressure osmosis water, and it can bear some deformation.
With sealed material, sample can be kept compressed in sliding.

Abstract: New thermoplastic soy protein isolated (SPI) and methyl acrylate (MA) copolymers (T-SPI-g-MA) were prepared using graft copolymerization and initiated with ammonium persulfate (APS).
