Reduced Stiffness Criteria for the Safe Buckling Design of Thin Shells and Its Numerical Validation Hongtao Wang1, a 1Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering School of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum 66 West Changjiang Road, Qingdao Economic and Technical Development Zone Shandong 266580, China ahongtao.wang@upc.edu.cn Keywords: Shell buckling, Postbuckling, Imperfection sensitivity, Reduced stiffness method.
Thin metallic shells have long been adopted as major structural components in weight-sensitive applications, especially in marine engineering.
Introduction Due to their efficient load-carrying capacities thin shells have long been used as structural components in weight-sensitive applications, especially in marine engineering.
The RSM has a considerable history of development in the Department of Civil Engineering at University College London [1] and has been shown to be able to predict safe lower bounds for a range of isotropic and stiffened shells through extensive physical tests [2].

Preparation Experiment and Engineering Application of High Performance Concrete of Freezing Shaft in Deep Alluvium Yao Zhishua,Xu Zhenb,Song Haiqingc College of Civil Eng. and Architecture, Anhui University of Science and Technology,Huainan 232001, China ayao.zs@163.com ,b1210578723@qq.com , chaiqingsong80@163.com Keywords: deep alluvium; freezing shaft; shaft lining; high performance concrete; preparation experiment Abstract.
Although it has been used in bridge, China Water Conservancy and high-rise buildings and some surface engineering in C60 ~ C80 high performance concrete, its construction environment and performance requirements has a great difference from freezing shaft.
The application shows that, the construction mix proportion meets the requirement of engineering design, and it is more convenient from the processing, transport to the construction, the selection of raw material is reasonable in economy, and remarkable results has been achieved.
In the freezing shaft, it is the first timel to use the C75 high performance concrete in the history of building the well in our country, and the successful application of engineering has an important extension and ap plication value on design and construction of freezing shaft lining in deep alluvium in our country.
