Mohapatra et al. [4] simulated the flow passing a free overfall using the MAC method together with the VOF surface-tracking technique.
The present SPH results agree better with the experimental [11] and theoretical [12] results than with the numerical solution of Mohapatra et al. [4].
For the case of critical flow, we consider the problem presented by Smith and Abd-el-Malek [14], which was solved by, among others, Goh and Tuck [15].

Specifically for example, (a) Cr in steels improves the oxidation resistance, (b) a proper combination of Al and Si may be beneficial for oxidation resistance as long as the amount of Al is more than Si, (c) if Mn is substituted for Ni then oxide scaling and higher oxidation rates are promoted, and (d) Mo improves the oxidation resistance by making steels austenitic.
Although the EDS analysis indicates the presence of Al, Si, and Mn in the alloys but their presence in the scale can not be identified by the XRD patterns.

Co-rich mixtures were shown by Martínez et al. [2,9] to become partially amorphous by mechanical alloying in an attritor mill, with nanocrystals of the elemental powders dispersed in an amorphous matrix.
More recently, El-Eskandaranary et al. [12,13] have reported full amorphization by MA of Co75Ti25 elemental powder mixtures, as well as their transformation to single phase Co3Ti by heating to temperatures of 800 K or higher.
In order to confirm the findings of our early studies as well as those of El-Eskandanary et al, it was decided to produce new alloys by MA in which the contamination by iron would be kept at much lower levels.

Ohno et al. [11] has calculated the Mg-rich corner of the Mg-Al-Zn phase diagram using PANDAT software; the results were compared with the literature and their own experimental data.
The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation (EL) of ZK60 and the newly developed magnesium alloys are listed in Table 2 and the microstructures are shown in Fig. 6.
