In this analysis, δ for the solutes Al, V, and Fe was calculated from the respective 12-coordinate metallic radii and δ for the interstitial O was estimated from the volumetric change associated with O additions [5].
Foltz et al also observed that slip was readily transmitted into the beta phase given a Burger’s orientation relationship between the alpha and beta phases [13].

Clark et al. [1] first presented a SMA-based damper, which consists of two groups of parallel pre-tensioned SMA wires.
Dolce et al. [2] improved this damper by adding another group of SMA wires, functioning as re-centring group.
Robert et al. [3] presented an important class of SMA damper - the center- tapped (CT) device, which is studied the most currently.
It is noteworthy that damping effect of maximum story drift of M3 under El Centro (NS) wave is smaller than that of M1
It is noteworthy that damping effect of maximum story drift of M3 model under El Centro (NS) wave decreases substantially

Mohapatra et al. [4] simulated the flow passing a free overfall using the MAC method together with the VOF surface-tracking technique.
The present SPH results agree better with the experimental [11] and theoretical [12] results than with the numerical solution of Mohapatra et al. [4].
For the case of critical flow, we consider the problem presented by Smith and Abd-el-Malek [14], which was solved by, among others, Goh and Tuck [15].
For the brink depth, the difference between the present result and Smith and Abd-el-Malek’s prediction is less than 2 percent.

Specifically for example, (a) Cr in steels improves the oxidation resistance, (b) a proper combination of Al and Si may be beneficial for oxidation resistance as long as the amount of Al is more than Si, (c) if Mn is substituted for Ni then oxide scaling and higher oxidation rates are promoted, and (d) Mo improves the oxidation resistance by making steels austenitic.
Although the EDS analysis indicates the presence of Al, Si, and Mn in the alloys but their presence in the scale can not be identified by the XRD patterns.
The University of Texas at El Paso provided the scholarships for AP and MP.

Co-rich mixtures were shown by Martínez et al. [2,9] to become partially
amorphous by mechanical alloying in an attritor mill, with nanocrystals of the elemental powders
dispersed in an amorphous matrix.
More recently, El-Eskandaranary et al. [12,13] have reported full amorphization by MA of Co75Ti25 elemental powder mixtures, as well as their transformation to single phase Co3Ti by heating to temperatures of 800 K or higher.
In order to confirm the findings of our early studies as well as those of El-Eskandanary et al, it was decided to produce new alloys by MA in which the contamination by iron would be kept at much lower levels.
